Above all else, the purportedly upcoming Xbox handheld will need at least 16GB of shared RAM as not just the Xbox Series X and PS5 uses that, but also the Steam Deck. If Xbox does indeed go another 2 SKU route this upcoming gen, with a traditional console (speculated to be open PC type) and a handheld (to replace the Series S), then the console will need to come with the same amount of RAM as the handheld at the base to make sure that the same games will run on both.
