Nintendo May Have Quietly Confirmed a Major Switch 2 Update

While Nintendo may have another announcement up their sleeve, and that's what they're teasing on their banner, it seems unlikely given the scale of the expected Switch 2 reveal. The Nintendo Switch has been in players' hands for almost seven years, and they're getting antsy to find out what's next. Using the Mario Bros. themselves to introduce something likely means it's going to be something big. This may also be the perfect time for Nintendo to try and get the Switch 2 out before anymore about it gets leaked. CES 2025 is well underway, and just yesterday there were reports of the accessory maker Genki showing off its products with a dummy unit of the Switch 2. It's being alleged that this model is based on the real console, so even if Nintendo wasn't planning on revealing it so soon, it looks like it may be running out of time if it wants to be the first to debut its own console.
