Nintendo Needs to Resurrect Its Dino-Fighting RPG Series For the Switch 2
First released in 2009 on the Nintendo DS, Fossil Fighters is an RPG that allows players to find, train, and form teams of dinosaurs. Similar to the Dragon Quest Monsters series and Nintendo’s own Pokémon games, Fossil Fighters features plenty of different dinosaurs for players to recruit and customize. Fossil Fighters differentiated itself from other similar RPGs by letting players not just find new dinosaurs, but also excavate their fossils one tap, hammer, and chisel at a time. Unfortunately, the last Fossil Fighters game that was released failed to impress fans and critics, but with the Switch 2 on the horizon, now’s the time for Nintendo to dig up the buried franchise.
