US-based gaming peripheral manufacturer Genki has been at the center of rumors related to the Nintendo Switch 2 after showcasing a mockup of the unannounced console and its accessories at CES 2025. Some of the subsequent news coverage has presented these as being based on an authentic copy of the Nintendo Switch successor, but this does not seem to be the case. In an interview with Game*Spark, Genki’s representative confirmed that their Nintendo Switch 2 cover was produced based on leaked information that’s circulating in the industry, and that the official size of their product is not decided yet. They also admitted that they have not actually seen Nintendo’s new console.
