Rumor: Switch 2 Won’t Be Compatible With Vital Accessory
According to a new rumor, the Nintendo Switch 2 might not be compatible with the original system’s charger cable. There have been plenty of leaks and unverified rumors surrounding Nintendo’s next mainline console, which will reportedly be revealed at some point between now and the end of the current fiscal year in March. Gamers have been anxiously awaiting any official news about the Nintendo Switch successor, but for now Nintendo has remained mostly tight-lipped about its newest hardware. Most recently, journalist Laura Kate Dale shared a Nintendo Switch 2 photo she says comes from a reliable source on BlueSky (via VGC), showing the new system’s charging dock. She has also been informed that the Switch 2 will supposedly ship with a 60W charging cable, meaning that the original Switch’s power cord won’t be powerful enough to properly power its successor while it is resting in its dock. It might be possible to charge with the old cable, but it might not be the most efficient method, and it would be advisable to use a proper 60W cable instead.
