The Xbox Series S Can't Keep Up for a Black Myth: Wukong Port, Dev Reports
Black Myth: Wukong was released in 2024 to rave reviews, debuting on the PC and PS5. Since then, many have asked, “Where is its Xbox port?”. The game's producer has now shed some light on the delay, going against Microsoft’s previous messaging. Many believed Black Myth: Wukong’s absence from Microsoft’s platform was due to Sony’s alleged method of paying developers to keep their games off Xbox consoles for a period of time. Game Science CEO Feng Ji has now set the record straight, pointing to the Series S’s limited memory as the reason for the delay. Well-trod territory for Microsoft and developers as Larian Studios, developers of Baldur’s Gate 3, ran into many of the same problems when porting over their award-winning game.
