According to a new report, Xbox’s “Play Anywhere” ethos will come into full effect in 2025 with former exclusives coming to Microsoft’s competitors. While Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has a confirmed PS5 release date, ongoing rumors suggest that even the Halo franchise will make the jump. Youtuber NateTheHate recently suggested that Final Fantasy VII Remake could be released for Xbox in 2025, with its sequel, Final Fantasy Rebirth, rumored to have a 2026 release date. This was later collaborated by Windows Central reporter and reliable insider Jez Corden. In a recent interview, Final Fantasy VII Remake project director Naoki Hamaguchi refused to divulge any information concerning whether Square Enix will bring the trilogy to Microsoft’s systems but said their vision was to bring the games to as many players as possible.
