Rumor: Switch 2 Motherboard Leak May Reveal More Details About the Console
The Nintendo Switch 2 motherboard layout has leaked on social media, and pictures from sources indicate some of the specifications the upcoming console may sport, including 12GB of memory and 256GB of system storage. The leaked images stated that the Switch 2 will utilize an Nvidia system-on-a-chip (SoC), which combines the CPU and GPU into a single die. The new leak surrounding the Switch 2's motherboard is the latest in a string of information about Nintendo's pending system. At the end of December, renders of the Switch 2's appearance made the rounds on social media, which showed what the system could look like once it hits the market. Although the Switch 2 may look similar to the Switch at first glance, the successor console may have a new "C-Button" on the Right Joy-Con, below the Home Button. While it remains to be seen what function the C-Button will serve, the Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers are also stated to use Hall Effect joystick technology to prevent drifting problems that plagued the original Switch systems.
